Science Pub Corvallis-"Get Smart for your Heart: Understanding and Preventing Heart Disease"
Heart Disease is the number one cause of Death in the U.S. and a major cause of  disability.  The chance of developing coronary heart disease can be reduced by taking steps to prevent and control factors that put people at greater risk.  Additionally, knowing the signs and symptoms of heart attack are crucial to the most positive outcomes after having a heart attack.  People who have survived a heart attack can also work to reduce their risk of another heart attack or a stroke in the future.

In recognition of American Heart Month , February's Science Pub Corvallis is titled: "Get Smart for your Heart: Understanding and Preventing Heart Disease."  Speaker for February's Science Pub Corvallis is Kim Montagne, Director, Samaritan Heart and Vascular Institute, who will give us tips and techniques on how you can keep the "beat of your heart" healthy and strong!

Science Pub Corvallis is held on the second Monday of every month and is FREE and open to everyone; no RSVP is necessary.  Tell your friends. We hope to see you there!

Science Pub Corvallis is a partnership between the Downtown Corvallis Association (DCA), Oregon State University (OSU) and Oregon Museum of Science & Industry (OMSI).
